Conclusions

The highlights of this year came in the two last months: the first genetic manipulation of human babies by He Jiankui and the new AI system AlphaGoZero with its great performance in chess. Also, the discovery of a new DNA shape was a sensation.

All in all, 2018 was an interesting year. See you in 2019!
